It has been known bugged since October months. Due to the length of time this has been a problem, this is currently the last step to completing the Master Relic Hunter achievement for most people. It took many, many conversations back and forth for the ever-changing Support staff for them to fully understand the problem, but in the end they were able to mark the quest and achievement as completed.
Harrison Jones is now in my garrison follower table, and I have credit for the achievements. They were able to use info provided from your character to get a better understanding of what was going on here with the quest.

Asked for clarification and he pointed out that when you bump into a tripwire it punts you back in the direction you came from. Jumped over the first tripwire. Turned around, walked into it. Got punted into the cave proper. I found the best location to do this, when facing into the cave to try to do it on the rightmost side.
